Terms of Service
PDFVault is a browser extension that opens, edits, fills and signs PDF files entirely on your own computer. These terms cover your use of the extension and of this website.
1. Who you are dealing with
PDFVault is operated by an independent software developer based in Israel. You can reach us at support@pdf-vault.co for anything at all — support, billing, or a complaint.
2. Your licence to use PDFVault
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use PDFVault, for personal or business purposes, on any device you control.
You may not:
- resell, sublicense or redistribute the extension as your own;
- attempt to circumvent the paid-feature check, or share a licence key so that more people use a paid plan than it was bought for;
- use PDFVault to break the law, or to alter documents you have no right to alter.
What you create with PDFVault is yours. We claim no rights over your documents, your signatures, or anything you produce with the tool — and we could not, since none of it ever reaches us.
3. Free and paid features
The core of PDFVault — opening, viewing, annotating, filling forms, signing and exporting — is free. Some additional tools require a paid plan. Which tools sit behind the paid plan is shown in the product before you are ever asked for payment, and current pricing is on the plans section of the home page.
We may change what a plan includes, or its price. If a change affects a plan you are already paying for, it applies from your next renewal, never mid-period, and we will tell you before it takes effect.
4. Payment
Payments are processed by our payment provider, who acts as the merchant of record for the sale. That means they — not we — are the seller on the transaction, they handle VAT and sales tax where it applies, and their own terms govern the purchase itself. Your card details are entered on their checkout, never on ours: we never receive, see or store them.

5. Your documents
PDFVault has no upload path. Your files are opened and edited in your browser and stay on your device. We operate no server that has ever held one of your documents, and we cannot recover a file for you, because we never had it. Keep your own backups.

6. No warranty
PDFVault is provided “as is”. We work hard to make it correct, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that an exported file will be suitable for any particular purpose.
Some documents carry legal or financial weight. Check an exported file before you rely on it, especially where a signature, a form value or a date matters.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of your use of PDFVault is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost or corrupted data.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here removes the statutory rights you have as a consumer in your own country.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using PDFVault at any time by uninstalling it; if you are on a paid plan, see the refunds page for how cancellation works. We may suspend access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached — in practice, that means the resale and circumvention items in section 2.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced in the product or by email to paying customers before they take effect.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and the courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have jurisdiction — again without removing any mandatory consumer protection you are entitled to where you live.
